Today, I woke up and immediately began to read my book. I read for about 20 minutes until my mom came in and told me to get up and get ready. So I got up, had some fruit (banana, mango, and pineapple) and then went into the shower. Let me tell you it was the WORST shower I have ever had in my entire life. The water was either burning my skin or it was ice cold, and the water didn’t really spray out, it was more like it leaked out. So I was only in there for about 5 minutes, taking 4 minutes trying to find a comfortable temperature but I realized that was impossible. So I got out, got dressed, and we were on our way to “Daisy school for the handicapped”. We left the house and started walking down the road in the direction of the market place. When we walked out of our house I noticed our “guard” wasn’t there so I got a bit confused. We walked down the road a little bit and we stopped and talked to Marie. We talked about our incident with the street boys and what we should do about it if it ever happens again. She told us to just get aggressive, like yell at them or push them away, stuff like that. Any ways, after we were done talking she told us we were going in the wrong direction. It turns out that the school was literally 5 seconds from our house, in the other direction. So we walked towards it and said a few Jambo’s on the way. We arrived and we sat down with the principal called “The Venerable Canon-Jonathan Luke Ndugah”. A bit of a mouthful I know. So we introduced our selves and we talked for a bit about something I can’t remember. Then he took us on a tour of his school. We saw the classrooms and they were so small compared to our classrooms. And they had these little desks that fit 3 to 4 kids! My desk was almost that big and it was only for me. Then we went around back and saw a bunch of kids. We walked into the kitchen and it smelled miserable. We didn’t stay there long. Then we walked back into the main building and started talking some more about the school, the government, our incident with the street kids, and about Ndungah. Apparently he likes to travel. But he’s never been to Canada.
